Anthropomorphic Carving found in Caerwys Garden

Dug up in a garden at the end of July 2005 this head could be of considerable archaeological interest..  Opinions so far have proposed a Medieval corbel from a church (St Michael’s at the time of the reformation?) or maybe from ‘Hen Caerwys’ the deserted Medieval Village.
It is not thought to have originated in the B&Q Garden Centre.
If you have some information, or an opinion, then please let us know.  We will then pass this to the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff, where the artifact will be examined at the end of August.
